
LOS ANGELES—Regardless of climate, there are more deaths from heart-related issues in winter-time than in the summer. Results from a 12-year US population based study with over 220,000 people were presented at the American Heart Association meeting in Los Angeles by Dr Bryan Schwartz from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque who explained to Sarah Maxwell how factors other than temperature influence seasonal patterns in death rates.
